Wayne Morris is an energetic, disciplined, and innovative strategic thinker with experience leading within growth-oriented businesses. He’s had an exemplary career, working as a Senior Executive of a global public company, the founding CEO of a software start-up with extensive international and multi-discipline experience, and as other senior management positions. Mr. Morris is an active executive in multiple M&A transactions and an excellent communicator able to relate to and influence colleagues, customers, partners, board members and industry advisors.
Mr. Morris currently operates as the Chief Marketing Officer for Skytap, a premier cloud provider designed specifically for enterprise applications located in Seattle, Washington. As the CMO, he leads corporate, product, digital and field marketing as well as business development.
Prior to Skytap, Mr. Morris led a 150+ person global team across all marketing disciplines for Microsoft as a Corporate Vice President. He drove integrated marketing initiatives to enhance digital and content marketing in combination with experimental, field, and partner marketing, utilizing analytics to increase return on investment by 2.5x.
Mr. Morris has held multiple other executive marketing positions throughout his accomplished career as well as periodically working as a strategic advisor. Mr. Morris also volunteers as a mentor for The Boots to Shoes Foundation which supports 21st century Veterans’ successful transition into civilian jobs.
Mr. Morris earned his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Queensland located in Australia.
