Richard Sawchak is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) for Novetta and its subsidiaries. Mr. Sawchak brings over ten years of relevant industry experience and nearly 20 years of finance and corporate development expertise to the role having served previously as Executive Vice President and CFO to Shafer Corporation, and as Senior Vice President and CFO of Paradigm Solutions. In his role as Novetta’s CFO, Mr. Sawchak is responsible for delivering against the Company’s financial plans, increasing margins, and continuing Novetta’s profitable growth. He also plays a key role in executing and integrating the operations of Novetta’s acquisitions while participating in the development and implementation of numerous strategies to grow and transform Novetta as a leading player in the advanced analytics industry’s area of Big Data, Cybersecurity and Identity Intelligence. Mr. Sawchak is responsible for corporate finance, accounting, contracts, compliance, information technology, corporate security, legal and treasury management; he also serves as the Corporate Secretary.
Before joining Novetta, Mr. Sawchak served as Executive Vice President and CFO for Schafer Corporation where he was responsible for all aspects of finance, accounting, contract administration, compliance, human resources and recruiting. Prior to that, Mr. Sawchak served as Senior Vice President and CFO of Paradigm Solutions. At Paradigm Solutions, Mr. Sawchak was responsible for the finance, accounting, corporate development, recruiting and information technology functions. Mr. Sawchak has extensive experience in financial management, business operations, corporate finance, and the execution and integration of acquisitions for public and private equity backed companies. As Senior Vice President and CFO, he was instrumental in repositioning Paradigm for revenue and earnings growth while leading the focus on their core Federal mission. During his tenure, Paradigm was purchased by CACI International.
Prior to his tenure at Paradigm Solutions, Mr. Sawchak was the Global Director of Finance of GXS, Inc., a leading provider of On-demand Supply Chain Management services and software offerings. Mr. Sawchak was extensively involved in the purchase and integration of three acquisitions, one strategic alliance and the refinancing of over $400 million in total debt. During his directorship, he established a global professional staff that successfully streamlined operations, including staff reductions, and enhanced Board of Directors reporting packages, consolidated management reporting and co-lead the streamlining of the book close process. From 2001 to 2003, Mr. Sawchak was the Director of Finance and Investor Relations of Multilink Technology Corporation, and in 2000 he was Senior Manager of Financial Targeting for Lucent Technologies, Inc.
Mr. Sawchak holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from Boston College’s Carroll School of Management where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He holds a Master’s Degree in Entrepreneurial Finance and Strategic Cost Management from the Olin Graduate School of Management at Babson College.
Mr. Sawchak currently resides in Hamilton, Virginia with his wife of 20 years and his daughter (both named Jennifer). His personal interests include taekwondo, running and swimming.
