Kerry Kilker is a highly respected Information Security and Technology Executive with over thirty years serving in progressive roles within Information Technology at Walmart, Inc. Most recently, Kerry Kilker served as Senior Vice President (SVP) and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for Walmart Technology. In this role, Mr. Kilker established and operated a world class cybersecurity program for the largest retail organization.
As SVP and CISO, he was responsible for safeguarding corporate assets and protecting employee and customer data for all stores, clubs and distribution centers in over 27 countries including e-commerce and acquisitions. He set strategic direction while communicating risk and the value of security to a broad audience including C-Suite leaders, Board members, business users and stakeholders. In addition, Mr. Kilker created and fostered collaboration with public-sector and key government leaders to advance the overall cybersecurity industry.
Prior to becoming CISO, Kerry’s career at Walmart encompassed many areas. He was a senior leader over application development of all store systems and replenishment. At this role, he was responsible for strategy, planning, implementation and operations of all point-of-sale, inventory management, cash reconciliation and sales floor devices in over 7,000 Walmart Stores and Sam’s Clubs facilities globally. During this time, he led the team that transformed the customer experience by introducing self-checkout capabilities in North America while maintaining six-sigma level availability for all store systems. In his years of service, Mr. Kilker led a variety of teams across Walmart Technology responsible for replenishment systems, Walmart’s Retail Link solution.
Throughout his career, Mr. Kilker has been recognized for his ability to lead others with integrity and respect by empowering his associates. In 2017, he was recognized with the Global Chief Information Security Officer Breakaway Leadership Award. He was inducted into the Arkansas Academy of Computing in 2013. He has served as executive sponsor of resource groups within Walmart, aiding to the promotion of diversity and inclusion within the company and community. Mr. Kilker currently resides in Bentonville, AR, where he has served on the boards of the Susan G Komen ® Ozark Grant Committee and the Bentonville Athletic Booster Club.
