Eva Majercsik is an experienced Human Resources executive with a diverse background of more than 25 years’ professional experience in human resources, services, and sales. She is results oriented, with a passion for fostering a diverse and inclusive mindset in the organizations she leads and a focus to enable HR initiatives that support the growth of the business in a continually changing economic global landscape.
Eva has an exemplary career track record working for some of the most innovative companies in the world: HP, Microsoft, and IBM. Currently, Eva is the Head of Human Resources for the Americas for HP. She is responsible for Canada, US, and Latin America, the largest region for HP in terms of revenue and with nearly 20,000 employees.
Prior to HP, Eva spent time as the Human Resources Director for various business units of Microsoft Corporation. Throughout her time at Microsoft, she worked with the leadership team to develop, manage, and implement and integrate people strategies, programs and guidelines in support of business and organizational objectives. She was a member of the Cloud and Enterprise HR leadership team where she drove the people agenda for the business, analyzing and presenting information to the management team that enabled good business decision and partnering in the cross-organizational initiative. She was also part of the HR leadership team that was tasked with the transformation of the HR function across Microsoft.
Before Microsoft, Eva held many different roles within the various business units of IBM. She was HR Director, Rational Software; Manager of the Global Business and Technical Leadership; Senior HR Partner, Global Industrial Sector; Senior HR Partner, Software Group Americas; HR Leader, US East region and Communications Sector Americas; HR Leader, Executive Talent Latin America; HR Partner, Latin America; Technical Sales Manager, Software Group, IBM Latin America; and other management roles over her 20+ years at IBM.
Eva has developed a deep cultural sensitivity due to her experience working in multiple countries. During her tenure at IBM, she has lived and worked in several countries in the Americas and Europe and has had direct experience working for extended periods of time in countries across the globe. She speaks fluent English, Spanish, Hungarian and French in addition to a basic knowledge of Portuguese and Italian. She graduated with Honors from the Universidad de Lima in Peru with her Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering. Eva also is a Volunteer and Fundraising Steering Committee Member for the Pacific Northwest for St. Jude’s Children’s Research.
