Andrew Anker is an experienced Senior leader driving business transformation through innovative technology adoption and addressing cyber security agenda across the Asia Pacific region. With over 25 years’ experience managing cross-functional teams geographically dispersed across Asia Pacific, Mr. Anker drives change in a positive way within different cultures and industries.
Currently, Mr. Anker operates as an independent consultant working to deliver Business Value through the Transformation of Information Technology. He does this to align the business and customer needs while protecting the enterprise through a holistic view of Cyber Security.
Previously, Mr. Anker worked as Head of Infrastructure Services and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Group Technology Services for AIA, the largest independent publicly listed pan-Asian life insurance group. His key responsibilities included successfully leading the execution of a Data Center Modernization (DCM) program across 28 data centers in 16 countries and setting up a Technology Risk Management team, a regional Information Security strategy, and governance framework. Mr. Anker also chaired the Group Security Council.
Prior to AIA, Mr. Anker spent 14 years at CSC (Computer Sciences Corporation) where he held various management positions from Regional General Manager to President of CSC Asia. Mr. Anker also worked for GE Capital Information Technology Solutions early in his career as a Senior Account Manager and Regional Sales Manager.
Mr. Anker earned his MBA and Graduate Diploma in Management form the Australian Graduate School of Management in Sydney, Australia.
