Dr. Eric B. Kuisch joined the Vodafone Germany Board in October 2013, reporting to the CEO.
Eric leads complex business transformations and delivers sustainable results in a high-pressure, competitive environment by shaping and accelerating multi-focus teams to achieve their best performance with ambitious but achievable goals, both collectively as well as individually. Highlights in his career proving this capability were the introduction of 3G and 4G and IT Transformation at KPN, as well as the recent post-merger integration of Kabel Deutschland after their acquisition by Vodafone Germany.
His passion is to mentor and coach superior talent with a genuine interest in their personal well-being and building long-lasting relationships.
He is responsible for operations, build, maintenance and innovation of IT systems and communication networks (fixed, cable, mobile and service platforms). As a senior member of Vodafone’s Global Technology Community, he helps drive and implement the technology strategy initiatives (5G, NFV, Cloud) supervised by Vodafone Group CTO.
Responsibilities:
Capex budget over 1,5B Euro and Operational Expenditure over 1B Euro; 3500 FTEs
Design, build and operations of Vodafone Germany’s network infrastructure as well as management of strategic relationship with key network and IT vendors
Driving development of new standards for business customers: Internet of Things, Connected Car Ecosystem, Special Purpose solutions for Industry Verticals (Media, Transport)
Customer driven network quality improvement: NPS, Big Data, and Customer Experience Management tools
Driving rollout of converged (quadruple play) customer solutions: digital TV, Broadband Internet, Voice, and Mobile
Post-merger integration of Kabel Deutschland technology organization (~1500FTE)
Achievements:
Before joining Vodafone, Eric was a member of KPN’s Executive Committee, reporting to CEO of KPN Netherlands. His career at KPN spanned over 20 years, in various senior management positions in R&D, network technology, IT, wholesale operations and enterprise customer service.
Eric joined the company in 1991, after a successful academic career. He owns a Ph. D degree in Mathematics from University of Amsterdam, the city in which he was born in 1965 and considers to be ‘the world’s best town under 1 Million inhabitants’. Eric is married with three children, an ambitious golfer and avid fan of Amsterdam’s famous local football club Ajax.
