Nicole Anasenes has broad financial experience ranging from mergers & acquisitions, treasury as well as general CFO roles. She has also held various business unit executive positions in offering development. She has expertise in both M&A and organically growing new markets including helping scale IBM’s mid market services business in emerging countries in the early 2000s – at onset of explosive growth in the (then called) BRIC markets.
Anasenes currently serves as the CFO of Squarespace, a leading provider of DIY website and commerce solutions well known for its differentiation in design, service and ease of use. Prior to that role, she served as CFO, Infor, a $3B enterprise application company and led their business model transition from perpetual software licenses to software as a service subscriptions.
Before these roles, she spent 17 years at IBM in various financial and business leadership roles. She was a member of IBM’s senior leadership team – the IBM Integration and Values team where she collaborated with the top 300 IBM executives to tackle some of IBM’s most challenging subjects. The most recent role was as VP and Chief Financial Officer of IBM’s
Software Middleware Group. a $15B+ business unit, where she helped drive significant operating efficiency and simultaneously entered and scaled new business areas such as security, cloud and mobile software. She drove organic growth as well as integrated multiple acquisitions. She also served as VP and chief financial officer of IBM’s Cloud business unit, helping to define and operationalize IBM’s cloud computing business, and as director of Emerging Markets for IBM’s Global Technology.
Anasenes has an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s degree from New York University.
