Peter Stern is a Vice President at Apple Inc., working on cloud services (which includes the company’s technology subscription offerings).
Prior to Apple, he was Time Warner Cable’s EVP & Chief Product, People & Strategy Officer. He had responsibility for the Company’s residential video, Internet, and phone product lines; overseeing the human resources function; developing the Company’s strategy in conjunction with the senior team; and identifying and developing new businesses such as Intelligent Home security and wireless initiatives.
During his tenure at TWC, he served in a variety of roles at the company overseeing strategy, HR, product, corporate development, operational effectiveness, and supply chain. Prior to joining Time Warner Cable in 2004, Stern was VP of Strategic Initiatives at Time Warner Inc. Stern began his career at McKinsey & Company, where he was an Associate Principal and helped lead the Technology and Media practices.
Stern received a J.D. from Yale Law School, where he was an editor of the Yale Law Journal and author of the book Connecticut Prisoners’ Rights, and became a member of both the NY and CT bars. He has a B.A. Magna Cum Laude from Harvard University in a dual major of Music and English.
He serves on the Board and Executive Committee of The Cable Center, on the Board of the CTAM Education Foundation, and on the Board of Advisors of the Hudson Union Society. Stern was awarded the Cable industry’s Vanguard Award for Young Leadership in 2010. He has been awarded numerous patents for inventions such as TV Everywhere and Internet Do Not Track.
