Tom Belthoff is an energetic, resilient and committed executive with unquestionable integrity and a strong work ethic. For 19 months, Tom excelled as the CFO of a group of privately held companies with over 300 employees. In addition to his overall CFO responsibilities for all accounting, technology, HR, cash management and banking for all the companies, Tom renegotiated numerous contracts, changed employee benefit plans, improved various operational workflows and restructured the liability insurance programs, all resulting in significant dollar savings and improved employee morale.

During his successful career at AIG, Tom reported directly to the CFO and the CIO of AIG. Tom partnered with and was a collaborative team player with various other C-Suite Executives and Senior Leaders as well as cross-discipline groups, including Treasury, Sales & Marketing, Operations, HR, Legal, and Tax, and has a track record of delivering results. Tom has worked extensively with external legal, banking, finance, auditors, regulators, customers, and vendors. During the turbulent financial times, he learned how to turn adversity into solutions and worked hard to accomplish that for AIG. Tom has the proven ability to anticipate and provide solutions to complex problems and multi-task to achieve results.

In addition to being a CPA and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) with strong technical accounting skills, Tom has subject matter expertise and extensive regional and global experience in operations, technology, HR, forensic accounting, process controls & improvements, and risk mitigation for a multitude of companies and business sectors.

Tom Belthoff is a business transformation architect and a change management leader. Throughout his career, he has led multi-level large and small projects. Tom is recognized by senior executives and peers as a team player who can operate at a senior level but who also possesses the “roll-up-the-sleeves” attitude that drives results. Tom has extensive M&A, integration, and divestiture hands-on experience, both at management and “in-the-trenches” levels. Tom’s experience as senior manager, responsible for the divestitures of over 100 AIG owned companies speaks to Tom’s successful track record. The values ranged from low millions to multi-billion dollar assets.  Many of these divestitures occurred over a concurrent time period resulting in other complexities which were successfully addressed and resolved.

Tom, as a CFO, Managing Director, and a senior leader, has served on various Management Committees including Strategic Planning, Budget, Sarbox, Regulatory, Operational Risk, Investment, Financial Reporting Disclosure, Divestiture and Compensation Committees.

Tom Belthoff earned his B.S. in accounting from Kings College in Wilkes Barre, PA. He is currently a member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accounts, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and Society of Insurance Financial Management. Additionally, Tom is a founding member of the Oradell Kids Foundation and a founding member of the Friends of River Dell, both located in New Jersey.
