Edward Jensen has over 30 years’ successful leadership and managerial experience driving innovation, development, and commercialization in diverse, multi-national business environments. He has a demonstrable track record of consistently delivering on strategic business objectives and possesses in-depth and broad knowledge of managing most programs and roles in the life sciences industry from early research through to commercialization. He has undertaken numerous challenging turnaround situations and troubleshooting assignments.

Edward is currently the Vice President, Corporate Development for arGentis Pharmaceuticals LLC, and was recently appointed as the Interim Head of Global Project Management and Leadership for Daiichi Sankyo Pharma Development. Here, he has set out a vision and road map to lead the function during a transition period. He is responsible for 56 programs in development and supervises 21 staff.

Prior, Edward was Chief Operating Officer for BluePrint Bio LLC, where he built, from inception, a complementary ecosystem of companies, dedicated to identifying, validating, protecting, publishing and licensing new biomarkers and to establish a fully integrated precision medicine/biomarker discovery and validation business.

Edward has gained valuable experience in senior leadership positions at a number of major pharmaceutical and life sciences companies including Johnson & Johnson, Biogen, AstraZeneca, Shire, Vertex and the TransCelerate industry collaboration. With these companies, his responsibilities included the full research, development and commercialization scope, including manufacturing, clinical development, and regulatory submissions through to product launch.

Edward has attained his Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification and his Accredited Project Management Professional (APMP) Certification. He is a member of the Association of Project Management and the Institute of Directors.
