David Alexander is a strategic and commercially astute business leader with over 20 years’ experience in the automotive, travel and business-to-consumer sectors. He has taken leadership positions in small and medium-sized enterprises (SME), private equity, multinationals, and public limited companies (Plc) in both regulated and unregulated sectors. He has developed and executed both strategic and tactical initiatives to address business critical issues in all operational phases including start-up, growth, and turnaround situations.

Currently, Mr. Alexander is the UK Contracting Solutions Director for the British multinational utility company Centrica, Plc. He has also held management leadership positions for British Gas Home Repairs and Dyno Services; both business units of Centrica. At these roles, he has created strategic plans to realign operations and focus on core strengths greatly enhancing business growth capabilities. He has identified new sales channel opportunities and significantly increased customer satisfaction.

Prior to these Centrica subsidiaries, Mr. Alexander held various senior management roles with Europcar UK Limited. As UK Operations Director, he led a team to secure Office of Fair Trading (OFT) approval for the acquisition of a major competitor to become the largest car rental operator in the UK. Prior to that role, he worked as the UK Operations and Franchise Director and the UK Commercial Director for Europcar.

Mr. Alexander earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Geography from Birmingham University, UK. He also earned his Marketing Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK and his MBA from the Cranfield School of Management, UK.
